Halfpricesoft Launches ezPaycheck Upgrade to Simplify Payroll with Free PDF Printing

Halfpricesoft has introduced enhancements to its payroll software ezPaycheck, offering small businesses and accountants a more streamlined and cost-effective way to manage payroll and generate digital records.

The updated solution focuses on simplifying payroll workflows by combining paycheck processing, tax calculations, and reporting into a single, user-friendly platform. A key highlight is its built-in ability to print checks and payroll reports directly to PDF at no additional cost, leveraging native functionality in Windows 11 through the “Print to PDF” feature.

According to Dr. Ge, the goal is to reduce complexity and cost barriers for smaller organisations. “ezPaycheck gives businesses a simple and affordable way to manage payroll while taking advantage of built-in PDF capabilities,” he said.

The software supports a wide range of payroll scenarios, including hourly, salaried, and variable pay structures such as shift, piece, and mileage-based compensation. It also accommodates multiple payroll schedules—from daily to monthly—and allows businesses to manage payroll for multiple companies within a single installation.

Additional features include automatic calculation of federal and state taxes, support for key tax forms such as 940, 941, and W-2, and a new e-filing add-on for Form 941. A network version is available for multi-user environments, while unlimited check printing is offered under a flat annual pricing model.

Compatible with Windows and macOS environments, ezPaycheck is positioned as an accessible solution for organisations seeking to modernise payroll operations without investing in complex enterprise systems.
