Simplilearn and University of Oklahoma Outreach Launch GenAI-Powered Project Management Certificate Program
Bengaluru — Simplilearn has partnered with University of Oklahoma Outreach to introduce a new Professional Certificate Program in Project Management with Generative AI (GenAI), aimed at equipping professionals with advanced, AI-driven project management capabilities.
The program reflects the growing integration of artificial intelligence in project management, with recent industry data showing that 70% of organizations now use AI in project workflows—nearly doubling in just two years.
Integrating AI Into Modern Project Management
The curriculum is designed to help learners apply generative AI and predictive analytics across key project functions, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making. It combines traditional project management principles with modern delivery frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, and SAFe.
A key feature of the program is an AI-driven hybrid project simulation capstone, supported by:
- Hands-on exposure to 15+ industry tools
- 25+ live demonstrations and 10+ guided practice sessions
- Real-world case studies and applied learning projects
“Project managers today must navigate increasingly complex, AI-driven environments,” said Kashyap Dalal, Co-Founder and COO of Simplilearn. “This program delivers practical exposure to generative AI and analytics-driven decision-making to help professionals succeed in modern project workflows.”
Blended Learning and Industry-Aligned Training
The program follows a blended learning model, combining self-paced modules with live instructor-led sessions delivered by experienced industry professionals. Participants will engage in virtual classes, simulations, and hands-on projects designed to build real-world expertise.
Learners will also complete a capstone project, applying their skills to practical business challenges while gaining access to comprehensive digital learning materials, including video content, eBooks, and assessments.
Expanding Skills with Lean Six Sigma
In addition to core coursework, the program includes an elective in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, focusing on the DMAIC methodology to enhance process optimization and performance improvement capabilities.
This module aims to strengthen participants’ ability to drive efficiency and quality across diverse project environments.
Supporting Certification and Career Growth
The program is aligned with Project Management Institute standards, offering Professional Development Units (PDUs) to support ongoing certification pathways, including PMP®.
“The curriculum combines PMP fundamentals with Agile practices and modern tools, enabling learners to manage real-world complexity,” said Belinda Biscoe, Senior Associate Vice President at University of Oklahoma Outreach.
Participants who complete the program will receive a joint certificate and digital badge from both institutions.
Broad Accessibility and Eligibility
The program is open to candidates aged 18 and above with a high school diploma or equivalent, regardless of technical background. However, those planning to pursue PMP certification are required to have 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
Preparing for an AI-Driven Future
As organizations increasingly adopt AI in project execution, the demand for professionals skilled in both traditional methodologies and advanced technologies continues to rise.
Through this partnership, Simplilearn and the University of Oklahoma Outreach aim to bridge that gap—preparing the next generation of project managers to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving, AI-enabled business landscape.
