Workable Adds Built-In I-9 and E-Verify to Simplify U.S. Hiring Compliance

Workable has announced the launch of integrated Form I-9 and E-Verify capabilities within its onboarding platform, allowing U.S. companies to complete employment eligibility verification directly inside the Workable system.

The new feature embeds the entire I-9 and E-Verify workflow into Workable’s onboarding process through an integration with WorkBright. Previously, Workable customers had to manage employment eligibility verification outside the platform using separate systems and manual paperwork.

With the new integration, new employees can complete Section 1 of the I-9 form digitally using prefilled data and document uploads. HR teams can then review and complete Section 2 within the platform, and if E-Verify is enabled, the system automatically submits the information to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for verification.

The company said the new built-in workflow helps HR teams reduce compliance risks, eliminate manual paperwork, and streamline the onboarding process. By integrating compliance verification into onboarding, companies can reduce administrative work and improve the new hire experience.

Workable said the I-9 and E-Verify functionality is now available for U.S. customers using a credit-based pricing model, where companies purchase credits based on hiring volume.

The company said the update is part of its broader strategy to provide a complete talent management platform that supports the entire employee lifecycle, including sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and workforce management, while ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
